Certified fair trade
Label STEP is a non-profit that monitors the handmade carpet trade. As a STEP partner, our production is checked against up to 90 measures, from fair wages and safe workplaces to a ban on child and forced labour.
Two companies in Pakistan hold this certification. We are the only one that sells to you directly, in our Karachi showroom and online.
Since 1952
Our family comes from Bhadohi, a carpet-weaving town near Mirzapur in India. After moving to Pakistan, Imam Uddin Ansari founded Imam Carpet Co. in 1952 and bought directly from weavers at fair wages. His sons, Qaisar and Ahsan Imam, carried the business forward.
