The Story Behind the Turkish Vintage Hand Woven Kilim Rug

Kilims, the flat-woven rugs of Anatolia, have been made in Turkish villages for centuries as floor covers and bags, with no pile at all, only coloured wool packed tight between the warp threads. This vintage kilim sets bands of fine black zigzags and lines across an ivory ground, with a few triangle panels, in wool coloured with natural dyes, and either side can face up.
