Review

It’s my first purchase from Imam Carpets and I’m happy that I found a very reputable and genuine place to shop online without a fear of being cheated in terms of quality.

The Story Behind the Karabagh Hand Knotted Rug

Karabagh, whose name is usually translated as black garden, is a region of the South Caucasus with a long weaving history. In the 1800s its weavers added European roses and bouquets to their designs, in answer to Western taste. This piece, knotted in Pakistan in the Karabagh manner, sets red roses and small flowers around a blue medallion on a grey-blue field, with borders of blue and red.
